The easiest way is to enter into the search area to find the book.

Be one of the first to read it. I personally know the author, he is a good friend and I also know his capabilities with the written word. This has been his life’s ambition to write and he has finally done it! For those that might know me, I am informed he has based some of the book on what I told him, trust me to open my mouth!

I will try get some more details or extracts when the publishers or the author release them and again I will post them here.

At some point I will also be posting on the site, some of his poetry. I am not a great connoisseur of poetry but I am sure there will be people who do appreciate it.

GOOD LUCK MIKE!

The cover text

Somewhere in a Woody Glen weaves an incredible route
through a tapestry of linked stories as seen through the eyes
of more than one narrator. James Bridges guides us through
adventures experienced in his childhood and throughout his
career as an engineer in the British Army. As the ‘helmsman’,
he temporarily hands over the steering of the book to his
brother Jo, who provides even more incredible accounts of
long-forgotten worlds as a seemingly totally inappropriate
offering to his young daughter. Translated from the newly
discovered journals of a 1900s swashbuckling adventurer, he
remains adamant that it is true. At the conclusion, the links
between the two accounts are brought together and presented
as one factual work. Somewhere in a Woody Glen includes
adventure, romance, mystery, and tragedy. Its memorable,
larger-than-life-characters, events, and creatures appear on
almost every page. From the sleepy English suburbs to the
black lands of Fistard, from the sweet and vulnerable Katy to
the mean and menacing Grimmly, this book has it all.

My Personal Review

These days I do not seem to read as much as I used to, in fact I have 4 books waiting for my attention. Taking that into consideration I had to read Mike’s book twice before I felt I was in the story line. For those of you that read regular,  you will find it a book with a lot of twists and turns exceptionally described. In my opinion it is worth reading ( and no I do not get a commission) albeit Mike is annoyed there was so many editorial gaffs which he had no control over.
